Description

The (Swivel & Elastic) velcro fastening wrist tool lanyard made by Leading Edge in the UK prevents twisting with intense usage, combining the benefits of an elasticated lanyard in reducing tripping, snagging hazards and lowers impact force from a dropped tool.  Design features a safety release (expansion link) preventing de-gloving in an accident.  All Leading Edge wrist lanyards have a unique safety release expansion joint, preventing de-gloving in an accident.  The design makes it possible for the wrist strap to come free in an emergency releasing the hand from becoming drawn into potential hazards should their tool/lanyard become caught up, as an example in rotating machinery.  The expansion joint is available in two options i.e. full expansion and a half expansion joint.



Features 

• This wrist lanyard is fitted with a very secure rated Velcro fastening system,
  allowing faster adjustment and is simpler to put-on and take-off when
  using multiple pre-tethered tools
• The Velcro is manufactured from industrial grade synthetic Polyester, and
  has a water and UV resistant structure that does not fade and weaken if
  maintained in-line with instructions
• The wrist tool lanyards are available in a choice of two safety release
  expansion joint configurations to suit both application and risk of
  exposure to de-gloving in an accident
• The expansion joint also provides additional user wearing comfort and flexibility 
• The (Full) expansion joint option is a 8cm link that expands to 17cms (112% stretch)
  suitable for tools up to 2kgs and where this is a risk of lanyard being caught in
  rotating machinery. The full expansion joint allows the hand to be pulled free very quickly
• The (Half) expansion joint option is a 5cm link that expands to 9cms (80% stretch)
  suitable for tools up to 5kgs allows hand to be pulled free should the lanyard become
  trapped (not for use with rotating machinery which may require a faster release).
  The half expansion joint has better wear characteristics
• Rated for hand tools up to 5kgs (Dynamically tested - see ‘testing pages’ for more info).
   Rating using a 2:1 safety factor
• Lanyard lengths available:  30cm / 60cm (Stretch: 30cm expands to 40cm, 60cm to 90cm)
• Individually serialised for clear easy inspection, full traceability and control
• Issued with a ‘Declaration of Conformity’ product certificate and ‘Final Inspection’ sheet
• Electrical Conductivity and Resistivity Test*: Dry >200 Giga-ohms / Wet >70 Giga-ohms

• Wrist lanyard made from premium polyester webbing, industrial grade elastic tape, 316 
• stainless steel ‘Swivel’ link, marine grade buckle, finished to a high standard
