Tool Tether (Universal Anchor)

Description

The (Universal) tool tether system is made by Leading Edge in the UK.  Uniquely developed to allow the retro-fitting of a secure rated attachment point to your existing selection of tools.  The tether and special adhesive sleeve can be fitted in minutes over an existing tool handle or
along the shank of the tool. 

Tool tethers combined with tool lanyards are designed to anchor tools to the worker, preventing injury and loss from accidental tool release at height to personnel and co-workers.  This is in line with the Working at Height Regulations 2005 ‘Falling Objects 10’ (Para 1) provides a practical, suitable and sufficient solution.          

Features

• Provides a secure rated anchorage point for hand tools up to 5kgs
  (Dynamically tested - see ‘testing pages’ for more info).  Rating using a 2:1 safety factor
• Tether and adhesive sleeve can be applied over an existing tool handle or along the
  shank of the tool (if unsure of current handles own integrity)
• Suitable for use on rubber, wood, steel, aluminium or composite tool handles
• Once fitted the encapsulated ‘D-ring’ allows for direct tool attachment via a connector
• Simple fitting in minutes with the aid of a heat gun (fitting instructions included)
• Manufactured to withstand the rigors of industry and marine environment
• Versatile fitting as it can be secured to handle end or becket (shaft) 
• Universal tethers are made from premium dyneema webbing and aluminium D-ring, 
• specially treaded advance adhesive sleeve cover
• Issued with a ‘Declaration of Conformity’ product certificate and ‘Final Inspection’ sheet
